Mylo Lipstick is an AI* generated lipstick commercial built to feel like high-end cinema. What started as a simple beauty concept became a texture-first visual world of deep reds, matte finishes, and slow, sensual motion — crafted entirely without a physical shoot, set, or crew.
From moodboard to motion — a complete commercial created without traditional production.
From macro product details to expressive portrait moments, the film explores luxury as a feeling: controlled, intimate, and unapologetically bold. Every frame was designed to look like it came from an expensive studio production — only faster, lighter, and fully AI* driven.
Challenge
How do you make lipstick feel expensive without a camera, a studio, or a real product shoot? Beauty films rely on micro-detail: skin texture, lip softness, reflective metal, and the slow weight of movement. If any element looks artificial, the illusion collapses instantly.
We needed to create macro realism that holds up under close inspection — from the lipstick bullet to the petals, to the model’s expression — while keeping everything cohesive across shots. The challenge wasn’t just generating pretty frames, but achieving consistency, precision, and believable cinematic lighting across an entire sequence.
Solution
Thain built Mylo Lipstick as a fully directed AI* commercial — crafted frame by frame with cinematic intent. Using a controlled workflow of moodboarding, prompt engineering, and shotlist-based direction, we translated traditional filmmaking discipline into a generative pipeline.
The visuals were designed around deep reds, matte textures, and tactile contrast — lipstick against skin, petals against shadow, metal against softness. We leaned into macro compositions, slow motion cues, and studio-style lighting to create a film language that feels premium and deliberate.
To keep everything believable, we treated AI* like a production system: consistent model identity, controlled framing, repeatable lighting logic, and refined post-processing through editing and color grading.
